According to a study issued by the Financial Times in spring 2007, siemens.com is the best corporate website in the world.

The "FT Bowen Craggs Website Index" evaluates the websites of the 60 largest FT Global 500 companies. The Siemens website was ranked number one with 221 of 280 possible points. The special thing about this index is that it takes all of the website’s functions into account. In addition to general criteria like “setup”, “message”, or “contact”, the value of the service to specific user groups like customers, investors, job applicants and journalists also contributes to the final result.

The authors of the study emphasised that Siemens is using the latest internet technologies available for the corporate website. Virtual Identity was responsible for the relaunch in 2002 and has maintained the website ever since.
